Meet Our Staff

Brother Robbie Caldwell

Senior Pastor

Robbie Caldwell grew up in Ore City, Texas where
he came to know the Lord when he was fourteen years old. He started preaching at the age of 18 in 1967. He is a graduate of Jacksonville Baptist College, Stephen F. Austin University and attended the Baptist Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas. He taught school in Ore City, Texas for 5 years. Currently Brother Robbie is on the Board of Trustees for
Jacksonville Baptist College and also on the Board of Directors for the Disciple Guide Church Resources and Missionary Advisory Commitee of the BMAA.

New Harmony Baptist Church is recognized as one of the leading churches in Tyler and Lindale, Texas in terms of missions and evangelism. The church has an attendance of over 300 in the morning worship services on Sunday mornings. Annually, New Harmony sends volunteer missionaries to various locations around the world. Brother Robbie has personally led mission teams to Ukraine, Africa, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Brother Robbie's wife, Janice, is a debate teacher at Lindale High School in Lindale, Texas. They have two children, Jason and his wife Lori and a daughter, April. Rounding their family are five grandchildren; Alex, Abby, Bryce, Destiny & Cameron.

In addition to ministry, Brother Robbie enjoys fishing and raising cattle. He and Janice also enjoy traveling around the world. Brother Robbie loves serving as Pastor of New Harmony
Baptist Church. He truly loves the people of the church and believes our motto,
"Making Disciple-Makers!" 

 

Brother Gary Mason

Bro. Gary Mason is a native of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and came to Texas in 1976.  He worked for Brown and Root for 10 years as a heavy equipment mechanic before being called to the ministry in 1986.  He and Cindy were married in November of 1979, and have celebrated 34 years of marriage.  They have two children, and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren.  Bro. Gary graduated from East texas Baptist University in 1993 with a degree in sacred music.  In the ministry since 1986, he has served as music minister, youth minister, senior adult minister, minister of education, and associate pastor, in a number of churches in Texas. New Harmony is very blessed to have Bro. Gary now serving as pastor of Music and Education.

Lathan Craft

Lathan Craft was born in Tyler, TX and was raised by his grandparents after the early death of both of his biological parents. Growing up in Tyler, he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2011, before attending the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig!) where he was a member of the Razorback Marching Band. After attending the University of Arkansas for two years, he transferred to Biola University in Los Angeles, California, where he graduated in 2016 with a degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies. Lathan’s passion is for every individual to be strengthened in their faith, to understand what it means to be known and loved by God, and to walk in discipleship with one another on a daily basis. Lathan is furthering his educational career by attending Dallas Theological Seminary for a degree in Theology, he also has plans to attend the University of Texas at Tyler studying Clinical and Mental Health Counseling under the thesis of mental health and the assurance of salvation. Lathan and his wife Serena married in 2016.
